Race-based discrimination based on hair texture and protective style continues to effect Black women in the workplace, leading them to feel more self-conscious when applying for jobs. New research co-commissioned by Dove and LinkedIn reveals “Black women’s hair is 2.5x more likely to be perceived as unprofessional.”
